2023: Forum of students union leaders in C’RIVER adopts prince Otu

Barely five days to the Governorship election in the country, youths group under the aegis of forum of past and present students union leaders in cross River State have given their endorsement to the candidature of prince Bassey Edet Otu for the Governorship position in the state

briefing in calabar, comrade John Inaku, one of the leaders of the group stated that what holds for prince Bassey Otu is his humidity and acceptability, the statement also added that Otu has the character, the competence to govern the state and the assurance of the desired future of the youths

The youths group also maintained that they were not induced by anybody but rather because of the past antecedent of prince Bassey Edet Otu and the strong conviction that his administration would guarantee purposeful leadership and bring the dividends of Democracy to the people of the state 

The forum also stated that they have evaluated critically the personalities track records, characters, before coming out with the choice of prince Otu which they said is the kind of a leader cross Riverians want stressing that his candidature would be a panacea to the many changes confronting the state, believing that he would deliver on the gains of Democracy and would not fail their expectations

The facilitator, prof. Franca Bassey, while addressing journalists said as  a mother she can not fold her hands and allow the children to go astray especially when they want her help.”I’m not a politician but as a mother, I’ll continue to provide the leadership to my children and direct them on the right way to go”. She maintained.

Prof. Bassey said that, ” at a time like this, the children needs a direction and they want a leadership that is what exactly what I’m doing, because I have concern for their wellbeing”. 

“That is why I’am encouraging them to go to somebody that has their welfare at hearth , so I have all the confidence that I ‘m doing the right thing.
