Ahead of Saturday’s Governorship election in the state, two political parties, the National Rescue Movement NRM, and the African Democratic Congress ADC have debunked a recent claims credited to the people Democratic party that they have endorsed sandy Onor as their Governorship candidate for the forth coming election.

In their separate release made available to the Enquirer, the National Rescue Movement campaign organization in their release dated march 13th, 2023 and signed by the campaign manager, Iquo Ukpong, described the said endorsement as a false claim

She explained that, on the 9th of March, a notice by the coalition of some opposition political parties in Cross River State had agreed to collapse all their structures and endorse the PDP candidate, prof. Sandy Onor for the forth coming Governorship election according to her was without our consent.

Her words;” we want to clarify to the general public that our party is not part of the endorsement, Mr. Patrick Solomon is running for the office of the governor of cross River State under the National Rescue Movement party, we didn’t endorse any body and we are not dissolving our structures to endorse any candidate from PDP

Similarly, the Governorship candidate of African Democratic Congress ADC, Mr Effiong Nyong in an interview with our correspondence said the endorsement of the peoples Democratic party candidate by ADC is not true, says, “it’s fraudulent, it shows how desperate they are in having to bring people into a fold that the people are not even aware of, it’s sad and despicable”.

According to him, “PDP as a big party should be able to stick to their structures and stop deceiving the electorate in some surreptitious manner, making them to believe that PDP is the big masquerade that other parties are endorsing”. 

“They should learn to stand on their own as the big party that claim to be instead of looking for other colours to hide under so that they can have credibility”, maintaining that the big parties have failed the people.
