In a statement issued by the Vice Chairman of Cross River Table Tennis Association, Usen Umoh, recently disclosed that the
Objective is to popularize the game
encourage everyone to play table tennis for physical well being and to encourage sports loving individuals and members of the organized private sector to invest in sports as part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR)
The statement added, “We are trying to contribute our quota in other to curb youth restiveness and reduce unemployment in the state and country at large”, stressing that one hundred and fifty thousand naira would be given out as price money for the competition.
“The Calabar table tennis Challenge is sponsored by the table tennis family in Cross River State in partnership with SWAN”.
The championship which is put together by Calabar Table Tennis club would be held at the table tennis sports Hall at the UJ Esuene stadium from 30- 31December 2022
