Elvert Ayambem emerges 10th speaker, C’RIVER House Of Assembly

Cross River State House Of Assembly, has formerly been inaugurated and constituted with Elvert Ayambem representing Ikom 2 State constituency emerging as the 10th speaker after he was returned unoppossed  being the only nominee for the context in a 25 member House Of Assembly

Hon Sylvester Agabi from Obudu State constituency also emerged as the deputy speaker unoppossed as members showed understanding and loyalty in the zoning formula of APC controlled House 

In his acceptance speech, the speaker promised that the 10th Assembly will make the Governor and the people of the state happy

“We will make you and our people proud, “as we affirm that our our resolve to preserve the labour of our heroes pass has not found expression than it will be in the 10th Assembly”which I Christine the “peoples Assembly”.

He stressed that his journey to the position was not by too much of hard work but was made possible by the devine grace of God that spotted him at the lowest epps 

He told members of the 10th Assembly that, he was neither their boss nor  leader but was rather a privileged first among equals, promising not to take the confidence repose in him by his colleagues for granted. He charged  them to work as a team for the overall interest and the development of cross River State

His words; “what ever vehicle or political persuasion that facilitated our coming here must by now lost it relevance to a better and greater cross River State”

He charged members of the 10th Assembly to over look political differences, but should rather deep priority to project cross River where everybody finds what will be more than putting  food on the table  but  focus on the growth of the state and what is sustainable and profitable 

 Meanwhile, members were also given principal positions in the house
