The palace of the Obong of calabar has continued to receive more guess for over three months in solidarity to the Obong of calabar, Edidem Ekpo Okon Abasi Otu v, after the supreme court judgement and the subsequent selection and proclamation of Edidem Ekpo Okon Abasi Otu v as the Obong of calabar still on the revered throne of the Efiks
As a mark of respect and loyalty to the Obong of calabar, Etim Effiom Royal House today took their turn as they paid a solidarity visit to the Obong of calabar, pledging unwavering support and unalloyed loyalty to the king of EFik Eburutu kingdom, and recognizing Edidem Ekpo Okon Abasi Otu v as the only Obong on the throne of the Efiks
In his Short remarks, the spokesperson, Mr. Essesien Bassey Edem said, “we have come here to pledge our continuous support to the Obong of calabar, Edidem Ekpo Okon Abasi Otu v, that we will continue to stand together to build the palace and the EFik kingdom”.
He stressed that what happened has unified the Efiks all over the world, but called for greater cooperations amongst them so that “Intruders” won’t have the opportunity to bring in confusion
In his response, the Obong of calabar Edidem Ekpo Okon Abasi Otu v urged the people of Etim Effiom Royal House to continue to live in peace and unity because the world is full of temptation, adding that it’s only through unity that the can win any battle and over come temptations
