By Ene Asuquo

The member representing Akamkpa/Biase federal constituency at the National Assembly, Honourable Daniel Asuquo, has said that he is still the labour party southern senatorial candidate for 2023

Hon.Asuquo in a press briefing in calabar yesterday gave the assurance that he remains the candidate to beat in the southern senatorial district in 2023 election, accused the APC candidate of trying to stop him through the back door

“The candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC and APC filled a suit challenging INEC, labour party, my self and two others on the process and conduct of the primaries that produced him as the candiy of labour party in other to stop me”.

He challenged those contesting against him to come to the field and test their popularity rather trying to use the back door in the name of court to get some body disqualified, adding that his representation at the lower Chambers of the National Assembly can speak for him at any given time

He said some people have been making the rounds and misinforming the  public about the outcome of the last judgement, which he said was against him but that he  rejected that judgement and sought for a relief.” We have filled for an appeal of that judgement, that is why I’m still the candidate of labour party for southern senatorial district for 2023 election

Hon.Asuquo maintained that labour party is the only alternative that Cross Riverians and the southern senatorial people have

“For us in the labour party, we have come with the only alternative to give good representation and change the narratives
