A Lawyer, Sebastine Anyia has declined an appointment as Special Adviser to the Governor of Cross Rivers State on Legal Matters (Boki). Sebastine who is a Former Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, Aguata branch, in a letter to the Governor made available to TheNigeriaLawyer owed the reason for the rejection on the incompatibility of the role to his principles.

He appreciated the Governor, Prof. Ben Ayade for finding him worthy and promised to continue contributing his quota to the growth of the state in his private capacity.
The letter reads in full:
“Your Excellency,
Sen. Prof. Sir Ben Ayade,
Governor Of Cross River State,
Calabar.
Sir,
I HUMBLY DECLINE YOUR OFFER OF APPOINTMENT AS SPECIAL ADVISER TO THE GOVERNOR ON LEGAL MATTERS (BOKI)
I most respectfully thank and appreciate our digital Governor, Sen. Prof. Sir Ben Ayade for finding me worthy to serve in his government as a special adviser on legal matters.
I regret to reject the said appointment as I consider it not compactible with my personal principles. I am willing and ready to contribute my quota in my private and respectful profession to the growth of our state.
Once again, thanks for the offer.”
