The newly elected Chairman of manufacturer’s Association of Nigeria ( MAN) Cross River State and Akwa-Ibom chapter, Mr.Akin Oyediran has expressed willingness and desire to partner with NEXIM Bank in the export of Syringes, rubbers, Transformer’s, recycling product and other agricultural products in the zone.
Making the disclosure recently in calabar during his two days visit to NEXIM Bank and companies operating in the (CFTZ), Bank of Industry, calabar, ASi-Ukpo comprehensive cancer center and Danelec Transformers Manufacturing Industry Ltd.
He stressed that MAN in these two States under his watch would key into the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AFTA) and mobilize industries and companies with available opportunities in the export market.
According to him, “my visit to Cross River, is to identify companies and industry that can export agricultural products and making them work together with NEXIM Bank, for them to get the necessary information they need from the Bank.”
The MAN chairman added that the visit has also afforded him the opportunity of familiarizing with these companies and that he was impressed with it
The regional head of NEXIM Bank Calabar, Mr Soni Osaghale said in his response that what MAN is doing is part of the Bank’s focus for export
He stressed that they understand the export market, they give advisory services for export market, and that the bank was set up as an expert credit agency, which target is to drive the export market and help the government to earn foreign exchange explaining that NEXM bank is ready to partner with MAN in the promotion of export goods in line with AFTA agreement.
