OTu, commends INEC For Improved Performance, Condemns Violence

The APC Governorship candidate in Cross River State senator prince Bassey Edet Otu has commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for their performance in the Governorship election

He gave the commendation during an interview with journalists in his home town shorty after he voted in 

Efut ward, Adiabo Okurikang in Odukpani local government area of cross River State 

He maintained that the conduct of the Governorship election is a complete departure from what we had during the Nation Assembly and presidential elections stressing that the BVAS were perfectly okay without too much complain of the BVAS rejection of voters cards except some minor in some polling units 

“I have full confidence on the BVAS, because no body has called me from anywhere to complain about the functionality of the machine on like the last elections”.

He said INEC should be given time and the benefits to perfect on the operations of the machine, believing that they will do better in future elections 

He condemned acts of violence during elections in the country stating that destruction will never do any good but rather brings regrets and backwardness in the society, he therefore pleaded for tolerance and peace during an after elections

He said Internal Democracy is key to every peaceful election, promising that if elected as the Governor of cross River State, He would ensure that internal democracy is given due attention where the will of the people will prevail, while promising to run a transparent and an all inclusive Government 

He noted that the state has been divisive enough, adding that the problem is not ethnicity, but rather stated that what is needed as a state is unity and love for one another, therefore maintained that he would carry every body along

“We will carry everybody onboard irrespective of political party, everybody that is going to give the state the value needed to change the state for a rapid growth and development”
