Otu suspends civil service recruitment in cross River

Cross River State Governor, prince Bassey Edet Otu has suspended the recruitment exercise into the state civil service that started some months ago by the immediate past administration of Ben Ayade.
In a release signed by the chief press secretary to the Governor, Mr. Emmanuel Ogbeche, dated 6th June, 2023. The statement reads as thus;
“In line with the cross River State Government’s desire to reposition the state civil service to meet modern day service delivery objectives, as well as enable the Government to plan effectively for the overall good of the our hardworking civil servants”.
It was also contained in the statement that there is going to be a revalidation of all promotions carried out within the last six months
The statement also added that there will be a comprehensive reverification of all civil servants in the state, maintaining that all civil servant must subject themselves to screening and documentation in the office of the secretary to the state Government
