Mr Edem Okokon Effiom has joined other cross Riverians in condemning the recent comments made by the former Governor of Cross River, Mr. Donald Duke against a sitting Governor, Professor Ben Ayade described as uncultured and very unfortunate.
Mr Effiom who serves as a commissioner for rural transformation under the administration of Professor Ayade said that those comments made by Mr. Duke was very uncultured and does not in anyway befeat someone like Mr. Donald Duke, a former Governor whom most people would be looking up to for directions, adding that those who live in glass house don’t throu through Stones, he cautioned.
He said Mr. Duke is someone he loves and cherished so much as Akpabuyo son, but queried, “for eight years of Donald Duke administration how many people did he empower in Akpabuyo, because those of us from Akpabuyo have not seen anything he brought to Akpabuyo not even a Hculvert did he put in Akpabuyo where he comes from”. but if you go to Obudu find out how many people has prof. Ben Ayade made?
Mr Edem Effiom further added that “in 1999 the southern senatorial people stood by mr Donald Duke to win his election and today he is busy campaign against the very people who stood by him, what moral justification does he have, on which platform is he using to do all of this, yet the people still celebrate him”
He urged Mr Donald Duke not to cast aspersion on Governor Ben Ayade because he has done well for his people
