The All Progressives Congress APC in C’RIVER has officially unveiled its campaign council organization with a former ambassador of Nigeria to Mali, Ambassador Sunny Abang as the director general while the State Governor, prof Ben Ayade as the chairman and the Governorship candidate, prince Bassey Edet Otu also as a co-chairman
Announcing the unveiling of the campaign council organization at the party secretariat in calabar, the APC State chairman, Barr. Alphonsus Eba said the party has come up with a list of 2, 500 member state campaign council organization
“After due consultation with all the stakeholders of the party, party has agreed to kickstart the process of its campaigns for the 2023 general elections “
He said the state campaign council organization is made up of 2,500 members while the local government campaign council being made up of 52,000 members, built up into 27 directorate, adding that the chapter and ward chairmen are all stakeholders and have been given full autonomy to constitute base on peculiarities
He thanked the APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu for intervening in the challenges the party was facing in the state, especially by resolving the court cases involving Owan Enoh and the Governorship candidate of the party, prince Bassey Edet Otu
He lauded Senator Owan Enoh for toeing the part of peace and being a complete gentleman by withdrawing the case from the supreme court as a sign of respect for the party
The APC chairman maintained that their target is to come out on the 21st of January with nothing less than five hundred thousand votes in support of the presidential and the National Assembly candidates.
